What is RideKC Micro Transit?
RideKC Micro Transit is an app-based, on-demand service that uses vans to get you where you need to go within the service area in Johnson County.
What makes this service unique?
It’s completely on-demand to fit the needs of riders. There are many options to book your on-demand ride: trips can be scheduled by smart phone app, by calling 816.512.5510, or by web at ondemand.transloc.com. You can even book trips on behalf of others through the website! RideKC Micro Transit is operated by professional drivers from Kansas City Transportation Group (KCTG).
When can I use it?
Monday-Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
How do I pay?
Pay $1.50 per ride through the Microtransit app or with exact cash in vehicle. Transfer to RideKC Micro Transit with your bus pass or transfer card.
Where can I go?
Service area boundaries are Shawnee Mission Pkwy. to the north, Metcalf Ave. to the east, Renner Rd. to the west and 119th St. to the south, and includes Mission Transit Center and KU Edwards Campus.
What do Micro Transit vehicles look like?
We’ll roll up in a modern van with plenty of seating. You’ll be riding in style with a clean interior and plenty of leg room.
How can I get started?
Download the Microtransit app by searching in your App store or Google Play store, or by going to ridekc.org/microtransit. Book online for yourself or on behalf of others by going to web at ondemand.transloc.com. There is a current offer online for 4 free rides.
RideKC Micro Transit is a private-public partnership. It is a six-month pilot service in partnership with TransLoc and operated by Kansas City Transportation Group (KCTG).

United HealthCare Transportation Coverage for 2019
United HealthCare has announced that their members can get rides to and from support group meetings such as Alcoholics Anonymous, Grief Support, and other group meetings in support of their recovery and well-being. Members can get two rides per month (up to 24 total rides).
Members on the PD, I/DD and TBI waivers get three round trip or six one-way rides to social events, Programs supporting independence.
If a consumer has questions about setting up transportation, available rides, etc, please direct them to their service coordinator.
