Food Assistance for Eligible Individuals

United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) The Food and Nutrition Services (FNS) has corresponded with states that food assistance – Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) will be available for February benefits in January.  Eligible participants will receive their February benefits before January 20th. This is not an extra benefit and NO additional benefit will be issued in February. Future benefits are contingent upon additional funding, so recipients are encouraged to carefully spend their food assistance benefit so that their food supplies will last. States are encouraging individuals to continue to apply for benefits and finish the application process, so benefits may be issued as soon as funding is available.

Updates will be available on the Department for Children and Family’s website at
