Hawaiian Theme R&R Event at Grace Church, May 8th 2015

SOAR Families

We had an amazing night for our Superhero SOAR R&R! We SMASHED our overall records as God proved to be the Ultimate Superhero and blessed us with a record breaking night for our SOAR R&R! We had 122 individuals with special needs (2 – 51 y/o), 94 siblings and 374 volunteers take part! Our older siblings had an AMAZING time swimming at Blue Valley Rec! Unfortunately, illness caused cancellations of 20 SOAR families and over 40 volunteers. It was awesome seeing several new SOAR families come for the first time as well as many new volunteers who served for the first time! I heard multiple stories of what a blessing the evening was to you. I loved seeing the smiles on the parents faces returning to pick up their kids, and the kids with huge smiles not wanting to go home! All of the pictures will be going on Facebook in the coming days! Please make sure you have shared your pictures with me by Monday, Mar 9! We would love to have you “like” our Facebook page and review us.

Our next R&R will be Friday May 8. ! We will have a Hawaiian theme! To RSVP please email [email protected] and let us know. We are taking reservations now!

We have multiple other opportunities:

• Buddies offered during any of our weekend services.

• Student Ministry SOAR on Sunday evenings

• SOAR Adult Class on Sundays at 11. This is for individuals in Middle School and older

• Our next SOAR Family Support Group on Saturday Mar 21 from 530-645 pm

• Save  the date for SOAR Special Needs Day Camp! July 20-24, 2015! It will be amazing! Registration coming this week, please watch for the email! We ONLY have 100 spots and expect the camp to fill quickly!
• SOAR Moms Bunco Night is Friday Mar 13, 630-9pm.
