Kansas Council on Developmental Disabilities

The purpose of the Kansas Council on Developmental Disabilities (KCDD) is to support people of all ages with developmental disabilities so they have the opportunity to make choices regarding both their participation in society, and their quality of life.  http://www.kcdd.org/

If you know an individual with a developmental disability or a guardian or a family member of a person with a developmental disability, who would be interested in making a difference statewide in the lives of a person with a developmental disability, you need to encourage them to apply to be part of the Council on Developmental Disabilities.  It meets 4 to 5 times of year with travel expenses paid.  The person will advise council staff on their opinion of state and national issues as well as review and approve grant proposals.
