Summer Fun For Kids At Skills To Succeed!

Hi all,

In addition to accepting day service referrals, we have some super fun things planned for grade school kids this summer at Skills to Succeed.  Time is running out on making plans for the summer, so please let us know soon if you have any questions.  We do have limited scholarships available for both of these programs, so please request an application if you work with a family that might qualify.

Grow:  Our summer gardening program starts this Saturday.  This 90-minute program is designed to be attended with a caregiver, but there are lots of opportunities for kids to develop social skills.  An added bonus we found last year is that parents enjoyed relating with one another as well.   This class is perfect for kids with Autism as it not only helps build social skills, but it also can help with the tactile and sensory issues often experienced.

Explore:  Our pirate-themed (seriously, do I need to say anything more???) summer camp takes place in the afternoons to allow for summer school attendance.  Staffing ratios allow for more specialized support than general summer camps and key themes are:  social skills, making friends, responding to bullying, fun, and, of course, pirates!

Feel free to contact me with any questions that you may have.  I’m happy to send out registration forms and scholarship applications.  Click here for brochure information: Grow Brochure 041113 fwdfwsummerfunforkids

Thanks so much,
