Sensory Performance of Happy Elf

Sensory Friendly Holiday Show at Theatre in the Park INDOOR

My name is Sarah Saugier and I am the Production Manager for Theatre in the Park.   We are very excited to share with you that we are offering sensory friendly performance of our Holiday show, The Happy Elf.  Below is a quick look at what this means.

Who: Patrons on the autism spectrum, or other sensory, social, and cognitive disabilities and their families/caregivers

What: A sensory friendly performance – the lights will remain on, the sound will be evened out, there will be fewer people in the audience, patrons may talk and move around during the performance, and there will be quiet spaces available if you need to step out.

When: December 17, 2018 @ 10am

Where: Johnson County Arts and Heritage Center (8788 Metcalf Ave Overland Park KS 66212)

Why: To experience live theatre in a “shush-free” environment

How: Through a generous donation by the Hingula Family, this performance will be FREE!
