Alphabet Soup

Alphabet Soup is a parenting support group for parents of children with neurobehavioral disorders such as ADHD, Asperger’s Syndrome, Sensory Processing Disorder, Anxiety, Autism and Oppositional Defiant Disorder. This support group is also for parents of children who have not received a specific diagnosis but are displaying behavioral challenges.  Each meeting features a speaker from the local community to educate parents about these disorders and treatment options, plus various parenting styles and solutions.

We meet from 6-8 pm at the Presbyterian Church of Stanley, 14895 Antioch Road, Overland Park 66221. Meetings are open to the public and childcare is available by registering in advance. For more information or to register for childcare, please contact[email protected] or 913-402-0533.

Thursday, January 17 from 6-8 pm at the Presbyterian Church of Stanley

Speaker: Rebecca Banks from Brain Balance Learning Center will bring parents inside the brain of a child with a neuro-based behavioral disorder and provide information on alternative treatments now available to treat these disorders at the source.

Thursday, February 21 from 6-8 pm at the Presbyterian Church of Stanley

Speaker: Sarah Banker, OTR/L, Children’s Therapy Group, “Sensory Processing Disorder”
