ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!

The Governor, and legislators, made unprecedented and devastating cuts to the community DD system in 2009.  Consider the damage caused…

·         An almost complete elimination of state-only funds for persons with developmental disabilities.

·         A 10% reduction of the HCBS DD Waiver, rolling back almost all increases made to the waiver during the entire past decade.

Legislators return to Topeka to find an even greater budget hole to fill for the coming fiscal year, and the temptation will be great to slash social service budgets even further.  Only the advocacy efforts of your organization, and your community, will keep that from happening.  It’s time to let legislators know that Enough is Enough!
